Membership within Alpha Omicron Pi offers women an exceptional experience through countless opportunities for personal and professional development and leadership and learning experiences. AOII offers four years of educational development that are tailored to our women, helping our members to be the best that they can be.

Dear Potential New Member,

Congratulations on choosing the University of South Alabama! On behalf of Alpha Omicron Pi, we are so excited that you are interested in becoming a part of the Greek Community and cannot wait to see you during recruitment week.

Coming into my freshmen year of college I can remember how scary the thought of leaving home and all of my friends & family was. But let me share this secret with you, you are about to begin the BEST four years of your life.

Joining AOII has impacted me in more ways than I ever thought possible. Through this sorority I have found friends who are there for me on my best days, my worst days, and even on the days when you just want to sit on the couch and chat. I have gained leadership experience and also learned the true meaning of philanthropic service. But, most importantly I have found a home with over 100 girls who are always cheering me on and encouraging me to be my best self.

My advice to each of you when going through the recruitment process is to stay true to yourself and choose the house that makes you feel most at home. I hope that wherever you end up, you find a sorority that truly makes you happy.

Always,

Karlea Welford
